Job summary

S W Rubber (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Procurement Executive to manage supplier sourcing, negotiation and contract terms. The role focuses on ensuring best purchase prices, accurate specifications, and timely orders within company procedures.

You will identify material requirements, verify supplier information, and maintain an Approved Supplier List while building long-term supplier relationships. A Diploma or Degree and at least 5 years in manufacturing procurement are required.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have the required diploma or degree.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in manufacturing.
• Proven negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Able to work independently with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain best prices and terms.
• Ensure purchase orders and contracts meet specs and customer requirements.
• Communicate accurate product information from suppliers.
• Maintain approved supplier list and supplier relationships.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and risk assessments.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and continuity risks.
• Coordinate timely issuance of POs and follow up on deliveries.
• Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Job description

Responsible for sourcing, selecting and negotiating with new suppliers for the best purchase price and payment terms in line with company standard procedure.

Identify the company requirements for raw materials, goods and services.

Responsible for collecting and communicating of accurate product information from the supplier.

Ensure all purchase orders and contracts are with agreed terms, complete technical specifications and in line with internal and external customer's requirement.

Ensure all legal documents such as supplier, non-disclosure, confidentiality and service agreements are signed with the suppliers.

Responsible for timely issuance of purchase orders and follow through with suppliers to ensure prompt deliveries.

Conduct risk assessment, performance evaluation of suppliers which includes supplier's survey, onsite audit and etc.

Alternative source for supply continuity.

Exploring cost saving opportunities through annual review on parts / services we procuring from the suppliers.

Establish and maintain updated Approved Supplier List for all existing suppliers (establish long term, collaborative supplier relationship).

Other ad hoc tasks assigned by superior.

Requirements

Minimum Diploma / Degree in relevant field.

Minimum 5 years relevant experience as Procurement Executive in manufacturing.

Good interpersonal and negotiation skills with proven experience in corresponding and communicating with suppliers.

Ability to works independently, proactive and attentive to details.
