Job summary

CHEMSILK SDN. BHD. in Penang is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure product quality across powder coating and metal surface treatment processes. The role focuses on supporting RFQ activities, process feasibility, and NPI with cross-functional teams.

You will review drawings, drive continuous improvement, and help optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and cost, while maintaining high standards of quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Manufacturing / Industrial or related field), or equivalent experience in manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings; CAD knowledge is an added advantage.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and committed to quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support RFQ activities including costing, process feasibility assessment, and technical evaluation.
• Manage technical aspects of customer products, processes, and New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Coordinate customer technical requirements and feedback, and liaise with internal teams (Production, QA, Purchasing, Engineering).
• Review drawings and specifications to ensure process capability meets customer requirements.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

Support RFQ activities including costing, process feasibility assessment, and technical evaluation
