We are seeking a highly motivated and technically strong Process Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Gopeng, Perak. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving, optimizing, and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure high efficiency, consistent product quality, and cost effectiveness.
The ideal candidate should possess strong engineering knowledge, analytical thinking skills, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, efficiency, and yield
- Identify process inefficiencies, troubleshoot production issues, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, defects, downtime, and production cost
- Develop, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) related to production processes
- Conduct root cause analysis using structured problem-solving tools
- Support process validation, trial runs, and new product introduction (NPI) activities
- Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and R&D teams to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor key process parameters and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards
- Analyze production data and prepare technical reports on process performance and improvement results
- Participate in audits, inspections, and compliance activities when required
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in QA/QC, manufacturing, engineering, or related industry.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System and quality assurance principles.
- Familiar with quality tools and methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
- Willing to travel locally and outstation for site inspections, supplier audits, customer visits, project meetings, quality investigations, and business-related assignments when required.
