ASE Electronics Malaysia is seeking an experienced engineer to support the production line in smart manufacturing initiatives, focusing on quality, process improvement, and cost-saving projects in a semiconductor assembly environment.

The role requires a degree in Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical/Robotics & AI Engineering and at least two years in semiconductors, with strong analytical and communication skills to collaborate across levels.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical/Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Engineering.
Min 2 years in semiconductor industry in assembly engineering.
Strong knowledge of FMEA, DOE, SPEC and risk analysis.
Independent with good communication and ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

Owns process ownership for CIS Smart Manufacturing - AMR machine and new system in assembly line.
Set up AMR and new systems for assembly process capabilities and document specifications.
Monitor performance and quality of AMR machine and system processes; implement corrective actions.
Promote data exploration and visualization to enable automation and productivity improvements.
Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and labor cost optimization across the factory.
Collaborate with smart manufacturing team to implement IoT, AI, system integration, RPA, and predictive maintenance.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Establish and setup new AMR and system for assembly process capabilities and materials including hand-on equipment setup and prepare document and specification for AMR and new system control.
Monitor performance and quality of AMR machine and system process. Identify problems, recommendation, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Work with site management to promote data exploration & visualization to enable automation and productivity improvement
Identifying opportunities for operational efficiency, process & quality improvement, labor cost optimization across factory.
Work with smart manufacturing team to implementation of advanced technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), System Integration, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Predictive Maintenance across the CIS department.
Performs other duties as assigned.
