The Die Attach Engineer role in Penang focuses on ensuring smooth operation of production processes and adherence to standards within a cleanroom environment. The candidate will work hands-on with advanced machinery and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer satisfaction.

Requirements include an engineering degree, 1–2 years of relevant experience, and knowledge of equipment operation and Die Attach processes, with basic communication and a proactive problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and processes during engineering activities.
• Prepare evaluation reports and initial data analysis.
• Support yield and quality KPI improvements.
• Monitor on-hold lot disposition and coordinate with engineers.
• Maintain 5S and safety compliance at engineering stations.
• Monitor processes, resolve product issues, coordinate with production and equipment.
• Occasional equipment programming and setup to meet specs.
• Assist with product quality investigations and preliminary findings.
• Perform root cause analysis of incidents.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

The Die Attach Engineer plays a critical role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the smooth operation of process and adherence to production standards. The role involves hands on work with advanced machinery in a cleanroom environment and requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Work with all the teams to meet customer satisfaction.

Responsibility

• Hand on setup the equipment and process during engineering activities such as engineering evaluations.
• Evaluation report compilation and initial data analysis.
• Support Yield & Quality KPI improvement.
• Monitoring on hold lot disposition and provide communication with engineer in order to not impact daily assembly output.
• Maintain all housekeeping / 5s engineering station and tooling’s, to ensure compliance to safety rules.
• Monitor all processes, resolve all products issues and coordinate with production and equipment to reduce downtime and getting better product quality.
• Minor equipment programming and setup for manufacturing to ensure product specifications are met.
• Attends product quality issue and assist MS support lot disposition. Carry out product quality issues investigation and prelim report findings.
• Able to perform incident root cause troubleshooting, analysis.
• Other duties assigned by superior.
