Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a skilled Process/Manufacturing Engineer to design and continually improve manufacturing processes, optimize production lines, and support new product introductions. You will participate in root-cause analysis, process validation, and continuous improvement initiatives across cross-functional teams.

The role requires 3–8 years of experience in process/manufacturing engineering, proficiency in CAD, analytics tools, and MS Office, with knowledge of automation systems and PLC

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–8 years of experience in Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, preferably in electrical or automotive components.
  • Proficient in CAD software, statistical analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of automation systems, PLC programming, and production line setup is an added advantage.
  • Familiar with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality management standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities with the capability to work in a cross-functional environment.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Learn and operate manufacturing machinery through hands-on involvement to support process optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Lead process validation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to resolve production issues.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and support new product introductions (NPI), process improvements, and technology implementation.
  • Develop and maintain Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), PFMEA, Control Plans, SOPs, and work instructions in compliance with IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, R&D, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution and process integration.
  • Monitor process performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with EHS, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Provide technical support and training to production personnel while participating in internal and external audits.
