BSSB Leather & Fabric Chairs is a British-owned, Malaysian-based volume manufacturer of leather and fabric beds and dining chairs. The company sets up time and motion studies, drives continuous improvement, and leads process optimization for new projects.

We seek engineers with lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen knowledge. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, and strong communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English is essential for cross-functional collaboration.

Formación

• Diploma or Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or equivalent.
• 2-3 years in manufacturing, preferably in Continuous Improvement or Operations.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication in Bahasa Malaysia & English.
• Own/problem-solve proactively with leadership qualities.

Responsabilidades

• Set up new time and motion for manufacturing and processes with management.

• Pursue continuous improvement to achieve production optimization.
• Collaborate across plant areas to resolve production problems.
• Cost saving by eliminating unnecessary workforce via automation.
• Review and check time and motion output reports.
• Coordinate with Planning on monthly manpower scheduling and line balancing.

Responsibilities

• To work with management in setting up new time and motion for manufacturing and processes.
• To conduct feasibility studies and process improvement that resulted in space optimization.
• To collaborate with management in the development of processes, plans, and strategies for process implementation and obtaining new manufacturing projects.
• To carry out continuous improvement of processes in order to achieve production optimization.
• To collaborate with other areas of the Plant to find solutions to problems that affect the production.
• Able to do cost saving by eliminating unnecessary workforce in production line via automation.
• Review and check all time and motion output reports.
• Working together with the Planning team on monthly manpower schedule and line balancing.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in Continuous Improvement, Operations, or similar roles/functions.
• The candidate from the furniture /timber industry will have an added advantage.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for this position.
• Take ownership, and leadership and be proactive in problem-solving.
• Strong experience in manufacturing and plant processes.
• Knowledgeable in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen will be an added advantage.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills in both written and verbal -Bahasa Malaysia & English
• Proactive, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and able to work well in fast pace environment.
