Job summary

BSSB Leather & Fabric Chairs in Klang is seeking a diligent security supervisor to station at hostel premises. You will patrol, inspect, and report daily occurrences to supervisors, ensuring safety and cleanliness.

The role requires SPM, 1-2 years experience with foreign workers, basic English and Bahasa Malaysia, and a valid driving license B2 and D. The successful candidate will coordinate with HR and maintenance teams to keep the hostel secure.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have at least an SPM qualification.
• Minimum of 1-2 years working experience in managing foreign workers or handling a hostel.
• Able to speak and write in basic English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Must have a valid driving license B2 & D.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hostel premises and surrounding areas regularly.
• Write daily reports detailing incidents and occurrences.
• Notify supervisors of emergencies and incidents.
• Liaise between maintenance, workers, and cleaners on work requests.
• Ensure hostel premises are clean, safe, and functional.
• Record entry/exit of all visitors and staff.
• Deter unauthorized access and protect equipment from vandalism.
• Coordinate room allocation and key distribution for new workers.
• Assist HR with foreign workers matters.
• Respond to crises such as emergencies and natural disasters.
• Maintain discipline, appearance, and safety standards.

To station in the hostel premises as assigned.

To perform a patrol in and around the hostel premises from time to time, and inspection/spot checks.

To write a daily report on all occurrences in the Hostel.

To notify and report to the immediate supervisors of any emergency occurrences.

Be the liaison person between maintenance and workers on work request orders and cleaners to ensure that the hostel premises are kept clean and functional.

Report any incidents and offenses by workers in the hostel to the HR Department.

Guarding the premises against intrusion on unauthorized entries. To provide effective security and safety coverage of the facilities and premises.

Permitting only authorized persons/visitors to enter the premises.

Maintain an updated record of those entering and exiting the premises.

To maintain a high standard of discipline and smartness in appearance at all times.

Protecting equipment and properties against the act of vandalism, theft, or sabotage.

Coordinate room allocation & key distribution for newly joined workers.

Assisting HR staff on any matters related to foreign employees and hostels.

To respond during crises such as an emergency a riot or a natural disaster

Maintain and implement overall discipline, cleanliness, hygiene, health, safety, and security.

Requirements

Able to speak & write in basic English and Bahasa Malaysia;

Able to work independently, under pressure, highly committed & responsible.
