Job summary

Eastool Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to lead and optimise PCBA manufacturing processes. The role focuses on improving product quality, production efficiency, and process stability while supporting new customer projects and process development.

The candidate should have hands-on SMT experience and be able to troubleshoot, analyze, and implement corrective actions. English communication and the ability to work with international teams are important.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in SMT manufacturing processes is essential.
• Experience in one or more of the following processes: SMT, wave soldering, conformal coating, aging/burn-in, or adhesive dispensing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, establish, and optimise manufacturing processes to achieve product quality and production efficiency.
• Manage and support PCBA processes, including printing, solder paste control, pick-and-place, and reflow soldering.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for wave soldering processes.
• Manage and optimise conformal coating processes to ensure proper coverage and product reliability.
• Support aging/burn-in processes and ensure process parameters meet product requirements.
• Monitor process performance, yield, defect rates, and production efficiency.
• Support NPI, process validation, and engineering trials.

Job description

We are a PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) manufacturing company seeking an experienced and hands-on Process Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and improving manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, production efficiency, and process stability. The candidate will work closely with our internal team to support new customer projects, process development, technical problem-solving, and continuous improvement activities.

Key responsibilities

Develop, establish, and optimise manufacturing processes to achieve product quality and production efficiency.

Manage and support PCBA processes, including printing, solder paste control, pick-and-place, and reflow soldering.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for wave soldering processes.

Manage and optimise conformal coating processes to ensure proper coverage and product reliability.

Support aging/burn-in processes and ensure process parameters meet product requirements.

Manage adhesive dispensing processes, including parameter optimisation and process validation.

Identify process-related issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Monitor process performance, yield, defect rates, and production efficiency.

Support NPI (New Product Introduction), process validation, and engineering trials.

Work closely with internal team to resolve technical issues and meet customer requirements.

About you

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Hands-on experience in SMT manufacturing processes is essential.

Experience in one or more of the following processes: SMT, wave soldering, conformal coating, aging/burn-in, or adhesive dispensing.

Good understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes, production flow, and quality requirements.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Experience in process optimisation, yield improvement, and root cause analysis.

Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with any international team.

Good command of English.

Proactive, hands-on, responsible, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
