KES International Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to develop, evaluate, and optimize SMT and PCBA manufacturing processes. The role focuses on continuous quality improvement, supporting production activities, and achieving KPIs.

You will lead process parameter optimization for solder paste printing, pick & place, reflow, washing, and wave soldering. The ideal candidate holds a degree or diploma in Electronic, Process, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering with 5+ years in PCBA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Electronic, Process, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering.
• IPC-A-610 knowledge is required.
• Proficient with MS Office.

Responsabilités

• Develop, evaluate, and optimize manufacturing processes for new SMT products.
• Collaborate with design teams during DRR to minimize manufacturability and quality risks.
• Troubleshoot process and design issues; implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate and support production line activities with Production and QA teams.
• Monitor and drive process performance to meet KPI and quality targets.
• Oversee AOI/ASI systems and performance.
• Maintain and update process engineering documentation.
• Conduct process evaluations, data collection, validation, and standardization.
• Establish and optimize machine parameters for Solder Paste Printing, P&P Machines, Reflow, Washing, and Wave Soldering.
• Support monthly preventive maintenance and calibration activities.

We are seeking a skilled Senior Process Engineer to develop, evaluate, and optimize assembly and production processes, with a strong focus on SMT (Surface Mount Technology). This role is responsible for driving continuous quality improvements, supporting production activities, and ensuring efficient manufacturing performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and optimize manufacturing processes for new SMT products
• Collaborate with design teams during Design Review (DRR) to minimize manufacturability and quality risks
• Troubleshoot process and design issues; implement effective corrective actions
• Coordinate and support production line activities alongside Production and QA teams
• Monitor and drive process performance to meet KPI and quality targets
• Oversee Automatic Solder Inspection (AOI/ASI) systems and performance
• Maintain and update process engineering documentation and records
• Conduct process evaluations, data collection, validation, and standardization
• Establish and optimize machine parameters for Solder Paste Printing, Pick & Place Machines, Reflow Soldering, Washing Machines, and Wave Soldering
• Support monthly preventive maintenance (PM) and calibration activities

About you

• Degree or Diploma in Electronic, Process, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in PCBA manufacturing, particularly SMT processes
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards is required
• Strong computer proficiency, especially in MS Office
• Solid understanding of SMT, through-hole, and electronic assembly processes
• Good knowledge of production flow and manufacturing systems
