Job summary

IoTronix Technologies Sdn Bhd in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is hiring for junior and senior/lead PCBA/SMT process engineers. You will develop and optimize PCBA and SMT processes, drive continuous improvement, and work with Design, Production and Quality teams to meet targets.

Fluency in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin is required. Candidates with 1–2 years (junior) or 8+ years (senior) of relevant experience will be considered, with leadership experience giving an edge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years' experience in PCBA/SMT/electronics manufacturing (Junior level).
• 8+ years' hands-on PCBA/SMT/engineering leadership experience (Senior/Lead).
• Good understanding of SMT processes, PCB assembly, SMT equipment, soldering technology, and manufacturing materials.
• Familiarity with IPC standards and quality control requirements.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and optimize PCBA and SMT processes to achieve production targets, quality standards, and cost-efficiency.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Design, Production, and Quality, to ensure smooth production operations.

Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime, improve productivity, and maintain product quality.

Conduct process validation and qualification for new products, processes, and equipment.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production yield, reduce cycle time, and improve process stability.

Monitor and analyze production data, identify process trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Ensure manufacturing processes comply with relevant industry standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Manufacturing, or related disciplines).

Junior Position: Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in PCBA, SMT, or electronics manufacturing.

Senior / Lead Position: Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in PCBA, SMT process engineering, or electronics manufacturing. Candidates with prior leadership experience or the ability to lead and mentor an engineering team will have an added advantage.

Good understanding of SMT processes, PCB assembly, SMT equipment, soldering technology, and manufacturing materials.

Familiarity with IPC standards and quality control requirements.

Good problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot process issues and drive process improvements.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Able to communicate effectively in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.
