Job summary

ADVANCED ASSEMBLY MATERIALS (M) SDN. BHD. in Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia, seeks a fresh graduate engineer to support AVI/AOI systems, improve inspection processes and drive quality improvements in semiconductor packaging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing or related Engineering field.
• Fresh graduates welcome; semiconductor/manufacturing experience a plus.
• Proficient in Excel and data analysis; able to prepare technical reports.
• Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, DOE, 8D and root cause analysis is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Optimize AVI programs and recipes to minimize false rejects and prevent defect escapes.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for AVI-related issues.
• Monitor machine performance to improve cycle time and machine utilization.
• Establish and maintain inspection standards and process parameters.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, IPQC and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide technical support for machine breakdowns, process abnormalities and quality issues.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance productivity, quality and on-time delivery.

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or a related Engineering field.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with experience in semiconductor or manufacturing industries will have an added advantage.

2. Technical Skills

Good understanding of Automated Vision Inspection (AVI) / Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems and inspection processes.

Experience with machine vision, cameras, lighting, image processing and defect detection.

Familiar with machine parameter settings, recipe/program setup and optimization.

Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, DOE, 8D and root cause analysis will be an advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis, with the ability to prepare technical reports.

3. Process Responsibilities

Optimize AVI programs and recipes to minimize false rejects and prevent defect escapes.

Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for AVI-related issues.

Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities to improve cycle time and machine utilization.

Establish and maintain inspection standards and process parameters.

Work closely with Production, QA, IPQC and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.

Provide technical support for machine breakdowns, process abnormalities and quality issues.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality and on-time delivery (OTD).
