Job summary

Advanced Assembly Materials (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks an experienced operations leader to establish and run leadframe stamping operations, ensuring output meets quality, delivery, and cost targets. The role plans production, allocates resources, drives yield and process improvements, and implements SOPs.

You will collaborate across Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Production Planning to support startup and ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/manufacturing/industrial engineering or related.
• 10+ years in manufacturing operations, with stamping experience and leadframe exposure.
• Strong knowledge of stamping processes, production control, yield improvement, quality systems, and KPI management.
• Excellent communication across all organizational levels, suppliers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the establishment and day-to-day management of stamping operations to meet quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Plan, organize, and control production schedules, manpower, machine utilization, and material flow.
• Set manufacturing priorities and allocate resources to achieve productivity and KPI targets.
• Drive yield, quality, and process capability improvements through troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance effectiveness and cost efficiency.
• Establish and enforce SOPs, work instructions, and process controls for stamping operations.
• Assess manpower, training needs, and implement development plans to strengthen capability.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality, and management system requirements.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Production Planning; coordinate with China team for knowledge transfer and startup support.

Job description

Lead the establishment and day-to-day management of leadframe stamping operations, ensuring production output meets quality, delivery, and cost targets.

Plan, organize, and control production schedules, manpower, machine utilization, and material flow to support operational readiness and customer requirements.

Set manufacturing priorities and allocate resources effectively to achieve productivity, efficiency, and operational KPI targets.

Drive yield, quality, and process capability improvement through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness, cost efficiency, and equipment performance.

Establish, review, and enforce standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process controls for stamping operations.

Assess manpower, competency, and training needs, and implement development plans to strengthen technical and leadership capability.

Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality, and other applicable management system requirements across the plant.

Work closely with cross-functional teams including Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Production Planning to support smooth plant operations.

Serve as the key coordination point between the China technical team and the Malaysia team to ensure effective knowledge transfer, startup support, and operational alignment.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum 10 years of working experience in manufacturing operations, with solid exposure to stamping and manufacturing environments; experience in leadframe manufacturing is a strong advantage.

Strong knowledge of stamping processes, production control, yield improvement, quality systems, and manufacturing KPI management

Possess good and effective communication skill with all levels in the organization, suppliers and customers.

Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving capability.

Results-driven, hands-on, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced plant startup environment.
