Job summary

The Arnott's Group, based in Kuala Lumpur, is seeking an engineer to ensure products meet safety and quality standards while improving efficiency and delivery reliability through strong continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration. The role focuses on reducing waste, increasing yield, and strengthening supply reliability across production lines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/ Chemical Engineering or Food Science.
• 3+ years of experience in Food/FMCG industry.
• Knowledge of canning/thermal processes and quality systems (GMP, ISO, HACCP, FSSC).
• Working knowledge of RCA methodologies and FMEA.

Responsibilities

• Yield & waste improvement through process improvements and structured problem-solving.
• Performance & reliability delivery: drive OEE, plan attainment, and supply reliability.
• Process leadership: lead multiple line processes and engage CI leads and operators.
• NPD & compliance execution: support launches with safety, quality and environmental compliance.

Summary of the role:

You’ll ensure products meet safety and quality standards while improving efficiency, cost, and delivery reliability through strong continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

What you’ll be doing:

• Yield & waste improvement: increase yield and reduce raw/ packaging waste through process improvements and structured problem-solving.
• Performance & reliability delivery: drive OEE, GR1, and plan attainment while controlling line overhead and improving supply reliability.
• Process leadership: lead multiple line processes, strengthen CI Leads and key operators, and drive shop-floor engagement.
• NPD & compliance execution: support new product/ formulation/ packaging launches by building process and people readiness, while ensuring Safety, Quality, and Environmental compliance.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical/ Chemical Engineering or Food Science.
• Preferably 3 years & above of experience in Food/ FMCG industry.
• Knowledge of canning/ thermal processes and quality systems (GMP, ISO, HACCP, FSSC).
• Working knowledge of RCA methodologies and FMEA.

Lead high-visibility production improvements that raise OEE, cut waste, and strengthen supply reliability.
