Job summary

Affinex Innovation Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a PCB Design Engineer to design, layout, and optimize PCBs for reliable hardware and manufacturability.

You will translate schematics to production-ready boards, review DFMs with manufacturing, and maintain accurate component libraries and footprints.

Qualifications

  • Experience in PCB design and multi-layer board layouts.
  • Proficient with Altium Designer and EDA tools.
  • Knowledge of DFM, signal integrity, and thermal management.
  • Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, expected by 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Design, layout, and route high-density PCBs using advanced EDA tools while adhering to industry standards for signal and power integrity.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers and manufacturing teams to review schematics, define board constraints, and resolve design-for-manufacturing (DFM) issues prior to production.
  • Create, manage, and verify component footprints and schematic symbols to maintain an accurate and reliable internal component library.
  • Perform design rule checks (DRC) and layout simulations to identify and mitigate potential electrical, thermal, or mechanical bottlenecks.
  • Document and maintain comprehensive manufacturing packages, including Gerber files, Bill of Materials (BOM), and assembly drawings.
