Boschgroup is seeking a change engineer to translate electronics and mechanical inputs into detailed PCB layouts with about 1500 components. You will perform feasibility studies, optimize high-speed analog and digital routes, and work with HQ on component libraries and footprints.
Document layouts for manufacturing and produce Gerber files for fabrication. The role requires 3+ years of PCB layout experience, proficiency in Zuken and Cadence, and strong communication to convey complex concepts
Interact as change engineer for PCB layout update that requires medium design changes. Translates input from electronics and mechanical design engineers into detailed PCB layout with approximately 1500 components. Conducts PCB layout feasibility studies for packaging, manufacturing and system performance on a high complexity design. Carry-out component placement and layout with "high-speed" circuitry of high complexity with analog and digital circuitry. Collaborate closely with design teams to resolve packaging, manufacturing or electrical design issues of a high complexity design. Liaise with counterparts in HQ in creation of component library and PCB footprint. Creation and maintenance of PCB layout documentation for manufacturing application. Creation of Gerber files for PCB fabrication. Maintenance of ECAD system to be "up-to-date" with latest version. Plan and coordinates continuous improvement process activities to enhance and strengthen team. Participate in technical forum, exhibition to regularly keep up-to-date in latest technological development of electronics devices. Any other duties as assigned from time to time to accomplish related results as needed.
Minimum 3 years of project experience in PCB layout-related projects. Hands-on experience in PCB layout design using CAD/EDA tools such as Zuken and Cadence. Strong knowledge of PCB layout application, design rules, and engineering best practices. Familiarity with product engineering processes and problem-solving methodologies such as FMEA, DFMA, QFD, Change Management, BES-PE, and 8D. Experience in technical report writing and delivering effective presentations. Ability to analyze and resolve complex PCB layout issues accurately and efficiently. Basic programming or scripting knowledge, preferably in Perl. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. Effective interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams. Demonstrated leadership capability in driving collaboration and achieving project objectives. Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement and learning. Customer-focused mindset with strong service orientation.
