Job summary

Halian, part of the NES Fircroft Group, seeks a Principal Consultant - Technology in Kuala Lumpur to own a strategic tech recruitment desk and drive growth across Malaysia. You will build long-term client partnerships, lead 360° recruitment across Banking, FinTech, and Cyber Security, and mentor junior consultants in a high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years' recruitment experience in an agency 360 environment.
• Technology recruitment expertise within Banking, FinTech, Cyber Security.
• Strong business development track record and client acquisition skills.
• Existing network within Malaysia's Banking/FinTech/Cyber Security sectors is highly desirable.
• Confident negotiator with strong stakeholder management.
• Proven ability to develop long-term client and candidate partnerships.
• Autonomous worker who contributes to a collaborative team culture.
• Excellent influencing, communication, and networking capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full permanent recruitment lifecycle from business development through to successful placement.
• Build and strengthen relationships with hiring managers and decision-makers across Banking, FinTech, and Cyber Security.
• Generate new opportunities through networking, referrals, market mapping, and targeted business development activity.
• Build and maintain a strong network of technology professionals across Malaysia.
• Provide clients with market intelligence, salary benchmarking, and hiring insights.
• Negotiate terms of business, placement fees, and recruitment agreements.
• Deliver exceptional service throughout the recruitment process.
• Consistently achieve and exceed sales, placement, and revenue targets.

• Recruitment Experience: 4-7 years' experience within an agency 360 recruitment environment.


• Technology Recruitment Expertise: Proven success recruiting within Technology markets.


• Business Development Success: Strong track record of winning, developing, and managing client accounts.


• Market Knowledge: Existing network within Malaysia's Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, and/or Cyber Security sectors is highly desirable.


• Commercial Acumen: Confident negotiator with strong stakeholder management skills.
