Job summary

Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd is seeking a meticulous Quantity Surveying professional to support pre-contract activities and drive the procurement pipeline in Malaysia. You will assist in preparing tender packages, review quantities, and ensure governance across commercial and technical portfolios.

The role requires a QS degree, 1–3 years' experience or strong fresh graduates, advanced Excel skills, and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant industry experience is advantageous; high-achieving fresh graduates with a strong QS foundation are welcome.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially advanced Excel).
• Ability to leverage AI tools to optimize workflow efficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and time-management skills with ability to meet tender deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Tender Management: solicit, review, and compile Bills of Quantities, technical scopes, specifications, and pricing schedules.
• Quantity Take-Offs & Technical Review: evaluate take-offs, drawings, and measurements for consistency before tender.
• Contract Administration Support: facilitate post-tender clarifications, manage initiation workflows, track variations, close-out docs.
• Risk & Compliance: maintain document control, ensure governance, identify commercial risks for escalation.
• Adaptability: integrate into ongoing pre-contract workflows and contribute to core tender preparation and procurement.

The Engineering & Facilities Division (EFD) is seeking a meticulous and driven professional to manage critical pre-contract activities and support the strategic procurement pipeline. This role is central to ensuring operational efficiency, governance, and precision across large-scale commercial and technical portfolios.

Primary Objective:

Responsible for supporting the preparation of comprehensive tender packages and driving pre-contract governance. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal Business Owners to deliver accurate, complete, and business-aligned commercial documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-Tender Management: Solicit, review, and compile Bills of Quantities (BQ), technical scopes, specifications, and pricing schedules.
• Quantity Take-Offs & Technical Review: Evaluate quantity take-offs, drawings, and engineering measurements to ensure flawless consistency before tender floating.
• Contract Administration Support: Facilitate post-tender clarifications, manage contract commencement workflows, track variations, and handle close-out documentation.
• Risk & Compliance: Maintain stringent document control, ensure adherence to corporate governance policies, and identify potential commercial risks for escalation.
• Adaptability: Ability to immediately adapt into the current ongoing pre-contract workflows.
• Responsible for core tender preparation duties, cost estimation, and procurement.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or a strictly related field.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant industry experience is highly advantageous; however, high-achieving fresh graduates with a robust academic foundation in QS are welcome to apply.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically advanced Excel).
