Job summary

Hunters International Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with 4+ years of infrastructure and building project experience to join our team in Kuala Lumpur.

You will conduct tender analysis, prepare submissions and bill of quantities, perform measurements, manage site quantities, and process progress claims to ensure timely submissions. The role requires strong Excel skills and team leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate/Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• At least 4 years' infrastructure and building project experience as QS.
• Experience in managing staff.
• Strong MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Tender analysis and preparation of tender submissions and BOQ.
• Measurement of quantity and take-off for projects.
• Manage site quantities and supervise staff.
• Process progress claims and variations to ensure timely submissions.
• Measure actual work on site and analyze subcontractor prices.
• Perform ad-hoc assignments as required by management.

• Experience with analysis of tender, preparation of tender submission & BQ, cost estimation, handle claims and payment for the project
• Measurement of quantity, experience in taking off
• Experience in managing people
• Processing of progress claim and variations to ensure on time submissions
• Measure actual work at site and analyze subcontractor prices
• To perform any other Ad-hoc assignments as and when required by the management.

Key Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Post Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, Quantity Surveyor or equivalent
• At least 4 year(s) of infrastructure and building related projects working experience as a QS is required for this position and handling or managing staff under in terms of junior quantity surveyor
• Preferably candidates specializing in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Should be conversant with MS Office, particularly easy in working with Excel spread sheets in added advantage
• Undertake and carry out works with responsibilities and eye for details
• Good planning skill and willing to learn and take up challenges
