Job summary

Sunningdale Tech Penang Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia seeks a seasoned leader to head Production Planning & Control, Purchasing, and Quality Assurance. You will ensure efficient planning, procurement, and quality compliance with customer requirements and standards.

You will oversee supply chain operations, drive cost reductions, manage supplier performance, and develop a high-performing team with ERP/SAP proficiency and ISO/IATF awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Production Planning, or Logistics.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/SAP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage purchasing, production planning, inventory control, and logistics operations to achieve business objectives.
• Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with procurement policies; manage supplier performance and strategic sourcing.
• Oversee production schedules, monitor progress, and manage finished goods inventory to meet demand and forecasts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to optimize workflows and profitability.
• Lead, develop, and manage team through recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Drive cost reduction through budgeting, costing analysis, supplier negotiations, and process improvements.
• Ensure timely resolution of purchasing and logistics issues with accurate documentation.

To lead and manage Production Planning & Control (PP&C), Purchasing, and Quality Assurance functions, ensuring efficient production planning, procurement activities, product quality, and compliance with customer requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.

Job Responsibilities

Lead and manage purchasing, production planning, inventory control, and logistics operations to ensure business objectives are achieved.

Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with procurement policies while managing supplier performance and strategic sourcing activities.

Oversee production schedules, monitor production progress, and manage finished goods inventory to meet customer demand and forecast requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional departments to optimize workflows, improve operational efficiency, and enhance overall profitability.

Lead, develop, and manage team members through recruitment, training, performance management, and continuous capability development.

Drive cost reduction initiatives through budgeting, costing analysis, supplier negotiations, and process improvement programs.

Ensure timely resolution of purchasing and logistics issues, maintain accurate documentation and reporting, and perform ad-hoc duties assigned by Management.

Qualification & Requirement

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Production Planning, or Logistics, with strong knowledge of ERP/SAP systems and Microsoft Office.

Well-versed in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949 requirements; knowledge of quality systems, manufacturing processes, and materials management is an added advantage.

Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; proficient in English (Mandarin is preferred due to business needs), with a proactive attitude and willingness to travel when required.
