Job summary

CHEC CONSTRUCTION (M) SDN BHD is seeking an Electrical Engineer skilled in high- and low-voltage substations to join our team in Malaysia. The role requires deep knowledge of electrical power systems, safety practices, and the ability to develop switching procedures for power isolation and restoration.

The candidate should possess a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience and preferred licensing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Possession of a valid licence or competency certificate by Energy Commission is an advantage where applicable.
• Candidate may be required to obtain relevant professional certification after joining.
• Basic knowledge of electrical power systems and railway power distribution.
• Preferably at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of electrical safety procedures and emergency response principles.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.

Job Requirements:

Possession of a valid licence or competency certificate issued by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) will be an advantage where applicable. Successful candidates may be required to obtain relevant professional certification after joining the Company.

Basic knowledge of electrical power systems, traction power systems and railway power distribution.

Preferably with at least 5 years of relevant working experience.

Understanding of electrical safety procedures and emergency response principles.

Good analytical, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
