CHEC CONSTRUCTION (M) SDN BHD seeks a hands-on maintenance technician to inspect, maintain and repair diesel engines, generator sets, hydraulic and transmission systems on railway equipment. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance and document activities.
Role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in mechanical/automotive/diesel/railway engineering or related field; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply and internship experience is a plus.
Carry out routine inspection, maintenance and repair of diesel engines, generator sets, hydraulic systems, transmission systems and other railway maintenance equipment
Assist in diagnosing equipment faults and performing preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with maintenance procedures
Operate workshop equipment and tools, including drilling machines, bench grinders and other maintenance equipment, in accordance with safety procedures
Clean, inspect and maintain diesel engine components in accordance with company maintenance standards and fire safety requirements
Record maintenance activities accurately and prepare maintenance reports
Comply with company safety procedures, fire prevention requirements and applicable railway maintenance standards
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Diesel Engineering, Railway Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with internship or industrial training experience in diesel engine maintenance, railway maintenance equipment or mechanical repair will have an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of diesel engines, generator sets, hydraulic systems and transmission systems. Basic understanding of mechanical maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair procedures. Familiarity with the safe operation of workshop tools and equipment. Knowledge of workplace safety and fire prevention practices.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
