Job summary

HSP POWER SYSTEMS SDN. BHD. is seeking a Business Development Executive to promote diesel generator sets, power generation solutions and related products across industries in Malaysia.

The role emphasizes building long-term customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities and achieving sales targets. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in sales within diesel/Genset or power equipment, a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics, and willingness to travel across

Qualifications

• Fluent in Chinese, English, and Bahasa Malaysia; excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or related discipline required.
• Minimum 2 years of sales experience in diesel generator sets, M&E, industrial equipment, power generation or related industry.
• Familiarity with construction, industrial, manufacturing, commercial and infrastructure sectors preferred.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Malaysia and possess a valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Promote diesel generator sets, synchronization systems, ATS panels, generator accessories and spare parts to potential customers.
• Develop new opportunities and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Generate sales leads through regular customer visits, networking and market intelligence.
• Prepare quotations, technical proposals and tender submissions; follow up on enquiries to secure sales orders.
• Provide suitable product recommendations and technical solutions based on customer requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, service, procurement and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor market trends, ongoing projects and competitor activities to maximize opportunities.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and project contracts with customers.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer records and project pipelines; achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Stay informed on new technologies and market developments; perform additional duties as required by management.
