Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Malaysia is seeking a Business Development Manager for Power Generation to drive profitable growth by selling a full suite of solutions, including capital equipment such as diesel generators, chillers, CDU and digital/energy solutions.

The role focuses on developing long-term customer partnerships, expanding installed base value, and maximizing lifecycle revenue through consultative selling and value-based solutions while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver exceptional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years in business development or high-value, complex sales.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel within Malaysia and hold a valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales of complete power generation solutions and related equipment.
• Identify new business opportunities within existing and new customers.
• Build relationships with decision-makers and influencers at customer organizations.
• Manage sales pipeline, forecast accurately, and meet/exceed targets.
• Collaborate with service, engineering, and applications teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Promote aftermarket services such as maintenance contracts and parts.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to refine strategies.
• Lead commercial negotiations, pricing, and contract management.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and issue resolution.
• Participate in industry events and customer engagement activities.
