Job summary

MyTOWN Shopping Centre is seeking a Security Guard to patrol the mall, conduct static post checks, and help prevent crime. You will report emergencies, assist with crowd and traffic management, and ensure safety regulations are followed.

Responsibilities include monitoring for hazards, supervising outsourced guards, and conducting security audits to maintain a safe shopping environment.

Qualifications

• SPM with passes in at least 5 subjects, including Bahasa Melayu and Sejarah.
• Malaysian citizen aged 20–35 years old.
• No criminal record and drug influence; good health and eyesight.
• Average height: Male 165cm, Female 157cm.
• At least 1 year of working experience in security or related field.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safety and security duties as assigned.
• Comply with instructions from Senior Security Assistant and higher-ranking officers.
• Report emergencies to Senior Security Assistant and take immediate action in emergencies, incidents, etc.
• Patrol designated routes and locations; follow directions from time to time.
• Ensure smooth traffic flow during peak hours and emergencies; take action against errant motorists and illegal parking.
• Report mechanical or electrical faults, property damage, water leaks, gas leaks, lift malfunctions, fire hazards, or related issues to Senior Security Assistant.
• Monitor, record, and report construction activities and maintenance/upgrade works within the vicinity, including hours, nature of work, and noise levels.
• Supervise outsourced security personnel and monitor service provider performance for compliance with standards.
• Enforce all safety and fire regulations within the mall, including security checks, inspections, and audits (Sec Check).

Responsibilities Of The Job

• Report all emergencies to the Senior Security Assistant and take immediate and appropriate action in cases of emergencies, incidents, criminal activities, pickets, riots, sabotage, civil disturbances, and related threats.
• Patrol designated routes and locations, or any other areas as directed from time to time.
• Ensure smooth traffic flow during peak hours and emergencies, and take appropriate action against errant motorists and illegal parking.
• Immediately report any mechanical or electrical faults, property damage, water leakages, gas leaks, lift malfunctions (where applicable), fire hazards, or related issues to the Senior Security Assistant.
• Monitor, record, and report construction activities and maintenance/upgrade works within the vicinity, including working hours, nature of work, and noise levels.
• Supervise outsourced security personnel and monitor the service provider’s performance to ensure compliance with standards.

• Do not have any Criminal Record & Drug Influence and have a good health condition and eye sight
• Average height for Male is 165cm & Female is 157cm
• Good health and fitness
• Body mass index of between 18%-30%
• At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field
