Job summary

Credit Bureau Malaysia is seeking a diligent Security Officer to safeguard Sunway Pyramid Mall in Bandar Sunway, Kuala Lumpur. You will patrol the premises, monitor CCTV, and collaborate with the team to maintain a safe environment.

The role requires shift work, weekend and public holiday availability, and good writing/communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Fresh graduates are welcome; opportunities to progress to Auxiliary Police after probation.

Qualifications

• Competence in writing and communicating in Bahasa Malaysia & Bahasa Inggeris.
• Ability to work in shifts including weekends and public holidays.
• Based at Sunway Pyramid Mall (Bandar Sunway).

Responsibilities

• Patrols the shopping mall and its surrounding areas.
• Monitors the CCTV coverage of the shopping mall.
• Conducts safety checks and related activities to maintain a safe environment.
• Executes emergency plans and preliminary investigations for breaches.
• Assists in disciplinary actions resulting from staff misconduct.
• Reports any data security breaches to the Information Manager promptly.

Education

Primary/Secondary School/SPM/O Level, Higher Secondary/STPM/A Level/Pre-U, Professional Certificate, Diploma

5 credits in SPM (BI, BM, Maths, History, Science)

Fresh graduates or 1 year security ops experience

Job description

• Patrols the shopping mall and its surrounding areas.
• Monitors the CCTV coverage of the shopping mall.
• Conducts safety checks and other related activities to provide and maintain a safe environment.
• Executes emergency plans as well as preliminary investigations for any breaches in security.
• Assists in taking disciplinary action resulting from staff misbehavior or misconduct.
• Reports any actual or suspected data security breaches and violations to the Information Manager as soon as possible.

Requirements

• Candidate possesses at least a Primary/Secondary School/SPM/"O" Level, Higher Secondary/STPM/"A" Level/Pre-U, Professional Certificate, Diploma in any field.
• Compulsory to have at least 5 credits in SPM (passed in BI, BM, Maths, History and Science).
• Opportunity to become Auxiliary Police after 6 months/1 year performance review.
• Fresh graduates or at least 1 year of working experience in Security Operations would be an added advantage.
• Competence in writing and communicating in Bahasa Malaysia & Bahasa Inggeris. Competence in vernacular language would be an added advantage.
• Demonstrates ability to work in a team.
• Capacity to work in shifts and able to work during weekends & Public Holidays, 5 working days.
• Willing to be based at Sunway Pyramid Mall (Bandar Sunway).
