Job summary

Private Advertiser in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a security officer to safeguard premises, assets, employees, and visitors while supporting daily security operations and emergency response activities.

You will conduct regular patrols, monitor access control, and assist with inspections by the Fire and Rescue Department and other authorities. Strong communication and independent work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• SPM or equivalent qualification.
• Previous security experience is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of security, safety and emergency procedures.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible, disciplined and able to work independently.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the premises.
• Support inspections by the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) and other authorities.
• Monitor access control and manage visitor registration.
• Report security incidents, safety concerns and facility-related issues promptly.
• Safeguard company assets, employees, visitors and building occupants.
• Participate in emergency response activities, evacuation drills and safety exercises as part of the ERTeam.
• Assist during inspections by relevant authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Maintain records of incidents, observations and security activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, security procedures and safety regulations.
• Attend security and safety training programs as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols and inspections to ensure the safety and security of the premises.

• Support and facilitate inspections conducted by the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) and other regulatory authorities, ensuring access and required documentation are provided where necessary.

• Monitor access control and manage visitor registration processes in accordance with established procedures.

• Report security incidents, safety concerns, and facility-related issues promptly to the relevant personnel.

• Safeguard company assets, employees, visitors, and building occupants.

• Participate in emergency response activities, evacuation drills, and safety exercises as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).

• Assist during inspections conducted by relevant authorities and regulatory bodies.

• Maintain accurate records of incidents, observations, and security activities.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, security procedures, and safety regulations.

• Attend security, safety, and other job-related training programs as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent.

• Previous experience in security services, building management, or related fields is an advantage.

• Basic knowledge of security, safety, and emergency response procedures.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently.
