A leading security service provider is seeking a Security Officer in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of Security SOP, conducting patrols, and reporting discrepancies. Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years of hotel security experience and be able to communicate effectively in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Responsibilities
Having full understanding andcomprehension of the Security Standard Order Procedures (SOP).
Attend daily pre-shift briefingby Security Supervisor and make notes on objects briefed.
Conducted short and preciseverbal hand-over briefing to relieving Security Officer highlightingmatter(s) of interest.
Punctually report to assignedposts and receive verbal take-over report from outgoing Security Officer.
Immediately report any discrepancieson inventory of equipment, items or lodged entries discovered at assignedpost to the Security Supervisor for follow-up actions.
Immediately report any damage orout-or-order equipment, items under the care of post to the SecuritySupervisor for follow-up actions.
Promptly respond to any call ofassistance from other department when instructed by Security Supervisor.
To act or take steps inaccordance with Security Standing Order Procedures to prevent or containany incident which compromise hotel’s security and safety.
Ensures that house rules (codeof conducts) are adhered to by associates or to Security Supervisor of anybreach of rules by them.
Conduct traffic and crowdcontrol when instructed to ensure smooth flow of events.
Conduct security patrols inassigned areas and report to Security Control Room of any situation of theordinary, obstructions, suspicious characters, damages or out-of-orderlighting or items for further actions.
Make relevant, precise, neat andlegible entries into Security Log Book (daily) in accordance with SecurityStandard Order Procedures (SOP).
Ensures all steps and actionsare taken in accordance with SOP to provide security and safety to guests,associates and properties.
Ensures that unauthorized andundesired person(s) are not allowed into the hotel premises and to takesteps and actions in accordance with SOP to remove the personifadmissions have already occurs.
To do escort duties wheneverrequested by Security Supervisor or Security & Safety Manager orhotel’s management.
Assist as Acting Supervisor inthe absence of any Security Supervisor when instructed by SSM.
Attend training, meetings ordialog as requested by Security Supervisor, SSM or hotel’s management.
Undertake any instruction whichis not mentioned above related to security and safety given by SecuritySupervisor, SSM or hotel’s management from time to time.
