Adecco Malaysia is seeking a PLM & Engineering Change Analyst based in Bayan Lepas, Penang. The role will manage product data, BOMs, engineering changes and documentation within the PLM environment, working with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate builds and releases.

This position will play an important role in managing product information, Bill of Materials (BOM), engineering changes and documentation within the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environment. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to ensure product data and engineering builds are accurately maintained and released according to project requirements.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in PLM, BOM and configuration/change management, preferably gained within the semiconductor industry, together with excellent attention to detail and strong coordination skills.
Partner with Product and cross-functional Engineering teams to develop, maintain and release product Bill of Materials (BOMs) and associated engineering documentation.
Manage product part numbers, revisions, change orders and related information throughout the product development and release process.
Review product and engineering documentation to identify inconsistencies, missing information or potential errors, and coordinate with engineers to ensure timely resolution.
Support and monitor Engineering Build Orders (EBOs), working closely with Product Engineering, Planning, system administrators and manufacturing/assembly sites to resolve issues and maintain build progress.
Coordinate with relevant engineering teams to maintain accurate tracking of wafer and other product-related materials required for engineering builds.
Ensure engineering changes and product information are properly documented and updated within the PLM system.
Generate regular reports and provide progress updates on engineering build activities to the New Product Development team.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Product, Package, Test, Foundry, Planning and Operations functions to support smooth product introduction and release.
Prioritise multiple requests and activities according to project timelines and business requirements.
Contribute to continuous improvement of PLM, documentation and engineering change processes.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Information Systems or a related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience, preferably within the semiconductor, electronics or high-technology manufacturing industry.
At least 5 years of hands‑on experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
Candidates with backgrounds in PLM, Configuration Management, Engineering Change Management, BOM Management, Product Data Management or NPI/NPD within the semiconductor or electronics manufacturing environment are encouraged to apply.
Practical experience in Bill of Materials (BOM), configuration management, engineering change management or product data management.
Experience managing part numbers, product revisions, engineering documents and change orders.
Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), New Product Development (NPD) or engineering build activities will be an advantage.
Familiarity with Oracle Agile PLM is preferred; experience with other PLM platforms will also be considered.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.
Able to manage multiple priorities, work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Must be able to be based in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
