Job summary

Centricorp (M) Sdn Bhd in Semenyih, Selangor, is seeking an experienced PLC Programmer to join our Engineering team on a full-time basis. Design, develop and maintain PLC systems for our industrial automation projects.

You will collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers, document code and configurations, and support on-site commissioning. A Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with PLC programming experience is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline
• Proven PLC programming experience
• Strong knowledge of industrial automation, control systems and process automation
• Proficiency in PLC languages such as ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagrams
• Experience with HMI development is highly desirable
• Solid understanding of electrical schematics and industrial electrical systems
• Excellent problem-solving, with ability to troubleshoot complex automation systems
• Strong communication and teamwork within multidisciplinary engineering groups
• Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations in automation

Centricorp (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced PLC Programmer to join our Engineering team on a full-time basis. This role is based in Semenyih, Selangor. As a PLC Programmer, you will play a vital part in the design, development, and maintenance of programmable logic controller systems that are critical to our industrial automation operations. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects whilst contributing to the technological advancement of our manufacturing and process control systems.

What you'll be doing

Design and develop PLC programmes using industry-standard software and platforms to automate manufacturing and process control systems

Troubleshoot and diagnose PLC-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions

Test PLC systems and programmes to ensure functionality, reliability and compliance with project specifications

Collaborate with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers and project managers to integrate PLC systems into broader industrial automation projects

Document all programme code, system configurations and technical specifications in accordance with company standards

Perform maintenance and updates to existing PLC systems, ensuring optimal performance and uptime

Support commissioning activities at customer sites, providing technical guidance and training as required

Stay current with PLC technology developments and best practices, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

What we're looking for

Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline

Proven experience in PLC programming

Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems, control systems and process automation principles

Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in PLC development, including ladder logic, structured text or function block diagram

Experience with Human Machine Interface (HMI) development is highly desirable

Solid understanding of electrical schematics, circuit design and industrial electrical systems

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex automation systems

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams

Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable code and documentation

Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations relevant to industrial automation is preferred
