Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking PLC Engineers to design, develop and implement TwinCAT-based automation controls for manufacturing and robotics. You will design, program and troubleshoot PLC systems, interfacing with servo drives, sensors and actuators, and work on-site to commission and validate solutions. Fresh graduates are welcome; 1–2 years of related experience is preferred.

PLC Engineer / Controls Software Engineer ( 2 Positions )

We are actively looking for Controls Software Engineer/PLC Engineer(s) whom specializes in programming, configuring, and troubleshooting PLC systems, with a primary focus on Beckhoff PLC/TwinCAT software for industrial automation. This engineer is responsible for designing and implementing control systems used in manufacturing, robotics, or other industrial automation processes.

*Important Candidate MUST be actively involved in PLC Programming the the current role if working candidates

A. We are looking for a talented individual(s) to

Design, develop, and implement PLC programs using TwinCAT software for automation control systems.

Create structured code for machine control applications and ensure they meet operational requirements.

Develop logic and algorithms for real-time control, including interfacing with servo drives, sensors, and actuators.

Conduct on-site commissioning, testing, and debugging of PLC systems.

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, diagnose faults, and perform corrective actions.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and process engineers, to ensure seamless integration of control systems.

Perform preventive maintenance on automation equipment and provide technical support to end users.

B. Education and Experiences Required

Required at least Bachelor’s Degree/Postgraduate in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

Preferably 1-2 years of working experience in related field.

Fresh graduates are encouraged o apply.

Ability to read/write in Mandarin will be an added advantage

C. Knowledge

Knowledge in Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram.

Experience with Beckhoff PLC will be an ADDED ADVANTAGE.

Hands-on experience in PLC programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting in industrial settings.

Experience with Automation: Hands-on experience in PLC programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting in industrial settings (e.g., manufacturing, robotics, process industries).

Experience with other PLCs such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Mitsubishi may be beneficial.

Ability to draw/understanding Electronics/Electrical diagrams.

D. Skills

Technical skills – have good technological base for effectively understanding of the specification involved in vision inspection machine.

Communication skills – able to communicate technical information with non-technical colleagues or customers effectively.
