Key responsibilities

Develop, code, test, and troubleshoot PLC programs based on project requirements and User Requirement Specifications (URS)

Integrate PLC systems with other control systems, such as Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Siemens or Supervisory Control, Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and AI integration

Collaborate with electrical engineers to design electrical control systems, create wiring diagrams, and develop documentation for PLC installations and modifications

Participate in the installation, commissioning, and testing of machines and PLC systems to ensure proper functionality and adherence to safety standards

Diagnose and resolve issues related to PLC programs, hardware, or network communications

Perform regular maintenance tasks, including backups, software updates, and system optimizations

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, project managers, and end-users, to understand requirements, provide technical support, and deliver efficient solutions

Create and maintain detailed documentation, including program descriptions, user manuals, technical specifications, and change logs

Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols while designing and implementing PLC programs

Provide training and support to end-users, clients or operators on the operation and maintenance of PLC systems
