Job summary

Zeus Solution Engineering Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, develop, program, and implement PLC and SCADA-controlled automation systems. You will ensure reliable, efficient, and safe operation of control systems in line with project specs, ISO QMS, and company standards.

You will develop project architectures, test PLC logic, configure SCADA systems, and mentor junior engineers while supporting site commissioning and operator training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Automation Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years in PLC/SCADA system integration and industrial automation projects.
• Willing to travel 50% (local and overseas).
• Hybrid remote work arrangement in Shah Alam.

Responsibilities

• Develop control system architecture, PLC logic, SCADA configuration, and communication networks.
• Prepare I/O list, control philosophy, and Functional Design Specification (FDS).
• Select appropriate automation hardware (PLC, HMI, IPC, etc.) as per project needs.
• Develop and test PLC programs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.).
• Configure and design SCADA systems (WinCC, Wonderware, FactoryTalk View) for visualization, logging, and alarming.
• Coordinate automation scope with project and electrical teams; provide site support and operator training.
• Prepare technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and software backups.

Zeus Solution Engineering Sdn Bhd – Shah Alam, Selangor

To design, develop, program, and implement industrial automation systems using PLC and SCADA technologies. Responsible for ensuring reliable, efficient, and safe operation of control systems in compliance with project specifications, company standards, and ISO Quality Management requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop control system architecture, PLC logic, SCADA configuration, and communication networks.
• Prepare I/O list, control philosophy, and Functional Design Specification (FDS).
• Select appropriate automation hardware (PLC, HMI, IPC, etc.) as per project needs.

B. Programming & Configuration

• Develop and test PLC programs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.) according to project requirements.
• Configure and design SCADA systems (WinCC, Wonderware, FactoryTalk View, etc.) for visualization, logging, and alarming.
• Conduct FAT/SAT, troubleshoot issues, and optimize control logic.

C. Project Execution & Support

• Coordinate automation scope with project and electrical teams.
• Provide site support, commissioning, and operator training.
• Prepare technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and software backups.

D. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with ISO QMS and project standards.
• Maintain documentation control, software versioning, and test reports.
• Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge.
• Contribute to process improvement and standardization efforts.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

• Willing to travel locally and overseas for assignments.
• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Automation Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years & above in PLC/SCADA system integration and industrial automation projects
• Technical Skills; PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider), SCADA configuration (WinCC, Wonderware, FactoryTalk View), Industrial Networks (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP).
• Software Knowledge;TIA Portal, RSLogix, FactoryTalk View, MS Office.
• Possess Certifications (Optional); Siemens Certified Programmer / Industrial Networking.
• Good analytical thinking, leadership, teamwork, communication, and project coordination skills.
