Job summary

Centricorp (M) Sdn Bhd in Semenyih, Selangor, is seeking an experienced PLC Programmer to join our Engineering team on a full-time basis. Design, develop and maintain PLC systems for our industrial automation projects.

You will collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers, document code and configurations, and support on-site commissioning. A Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with PLC programming experience is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline
• Proven PLC programming experience
• Strong knowledge of industrial automation, control systems and process automation
• Proficiency in PLC languages such as ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagrams
• Experience with HMI development is highly desirable
• Solid understanding of electrical schematics and industrial electrical systems
• Excellent problem-solving, with ability to troubleshoot complex automation systems
• Strong communication and teamwork within multidisciplinary engineering groups
• Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations in automation

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PLC programmes to automate manufacturing and process control systems
• Troubleshoot PLC issues, identify root causes and implement fixes
• Test PLC systems to ensure functionality, reliability and compliance
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical engineers and project managers
• Document code, configurations and specifications per company standards
• Maintain and update PLC systems to ensure uptime
• Support commissioning at customer sites with technical guidance
• Stay updated on PLC technology and best practices
