Job summary

Themetech International (M) Sdn Bhd in Kulim High Tech Park, Kedah, seeks a hands-on welder to perform arc welding, MIG, TIG, and gas cutting on stainless and carbon steel. You will fabricate and assemble structures, supports, tanks, frames, and piping according to drawings and specs, and carry out on-site welding repairs.

You will inspect welds, ensure dimensional accuracy, and install piping and mechanical equipment, contributing to projects for high-tech industrial facilities.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Welding (required).
• Fresh candidate or ≤1 year experience.
• Basic knowledge in TIG/MIG/FCAW welding.
• Certificate in Welding Technology is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc welding, MIG, TIG and gas cutting on stainless steel, carbon steel and other metals.
• Fabricate and assemble structures, supports, tanks, frames and piping based on drawings and specifications.
• Carry out on-site welding repairs on machinery and pipelines.
• Inspect and test welds for defects using visual and non-destructive testing where applicable.
• Measure, cut and fit parts for assembly and installation.
• Install and modify piping, flanges, valves and mechanical equipment.
• Ensure all fitted components meet dimensional and alignment tolerances.

Job description

Qualifications

CERTIFICATE or DIPLOMA. Fresh candidate or less than 1 year working experience. Having basic knowledge in TIG/MIG/FCAW/WELDING.

With a Certificate in Welding Technology is required and more advantage.
