Job summary

Marc Conleth Industries Sdn. Bhd. seeks a welding contractor to read blueprints, source materials, measure and cut with precision, and weld with TIG, MIG, SMAW and SAW. You will ensure tolerances, interpret layouts, and handle welding challenges on a contract basis.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant engineering qualification, with 2+ years’ experience; fresh graduates may apply and immediate availability is preferred. Free parking is provided.

Qualifications

• Professional certificate, diploma or degree in engineering (mechanical/metal fabrication/welding) or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related welding experience; fresh graduates can apply.
• Immediate availability preferred.

Job description

Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project.

Sourcing the materials to be used in the project.

Measuring and cutting materials to specifications.

Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together.

Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints.

Interpret blueprints, drawings and measurements to plan layouts.

To carry out various welding processes and techniques such as TIG, MIG, SMAW and Submerged-Arc Welding (SAW) efficiently.

Handle technical problems related to welding.

Any ad-hoc tasks assigned by superior.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Metal Fabrication/Welding) or its equivalent.

At least 2 years working experience in the related field is required in this position or more of related working experience.

Fresh graduates are also encourage to apply.

Immediate available is highly preferred.
