Job summary

Kossan Latex Industries in Klang is seeking a Plant Engineering & Maintenance Engineer to coordinate with the Production Maintenance Team for monthly preventive maintenance planning and scheduled maintenance activities to reduce unscheduled downtime and meet top management expectations.

Responsibilities include organizing spare parts lists, managing BOMs, planning procurement, and guiding maintenance improvement projects and new equipment installations to reduce downtime and achieve targets.

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering or an equivalent field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Production Maintenance Team for Monthly Production Plant Preventive Maintenance Planning / Scheduled Maintenance Activities to reduce Unscheduled Downtime (%) to meet Top Management expectation.
• Organize and manage spare part list according to Plant Equipment Preventive Maintenance.
• Propose, plan and manage maintenance improvement projects and new equipment installations to reduce Production Downtime and meet Downtime targets.
• Lead and participate in Plant Equipment Maintenance Improvement projects from BOM to procurement, manpower planning, Gantt chart, execution and outcome review.
• Assist HOD to ensure environmental, safety, health and welfare of employees and related parties.

Job description

Plant Engineering & Maintenance Engineer

Coordinate with Production Maintenance Team for Monthly Production Plant Preventive Maintenance Planning / Scheduled Maintenance Activities to reduce Unscheduled Downtime (%) to meet Top Management expectation.

To organize and manage spare part list (PM Maintenance Spare part list) according to Plant Equipment Preventive Maintenance that developed by Plant Improvement Engineer.

Propose, Plan and Manage any maintenance improvement project and new equipment installation project to reduce Production Downtime to hit Top Management expected Downtime Target.

Actively participate in each Plant Equipment Maintenance Improvement project from developing Project Bill of Material (BOM), Material Procurement, Project Manpower Planning, Project Gantt Chart, Project Execution & Implementation, and Project Outcome Review Stages.

Shall assist HOD/ superior to secure the environmental, safety, health and welfare of employee or any other related party against risk to environmental, safety or health.

Plan, coordinate, and implement maintenance improvement and new equipment installation projects to achieve production downtime targets in accordance with approved plans and company requirements.

Job Requirements:

A. Qualification

Candidate must possess Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automation / Mechatronics/ Industrial Engineering or equivalent.

B. Experience

At least 2 - 3 years' working experience in related field (Fresh graduate for entry level).

To monitor and ensure the good quality work of vendors engaging in specialized of maintenance service works, such as maintenance works to glove dipping production line, sprocket & roller chain corrective, preventive maintenance, centrifugal pump, chemical dosing pump, induction motor, blower impeller fan operation & maintenance, scrubber operation & etc.

Familiar with mechanical engineering specification (ASME Code, BSI Code, JIS Code) and documentation control.

Have years of experience leading and working with cross departmental multifunctional "FOCUS" OR "TASK FORCE" teams to carryout improvements for process and maintenance.
