Malayan Flour Mills is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer/Supervisor to oversee the maintenance of machines, equipment, and facility systems at our Pasir Gudang plant. You will lead technicians, troubleshoot faults, implement corrective actions, and ensure timely restoration of operations.
Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, at least 3 years in manufacturing maintenance, strong troubleshooting and planning skills, and CMMS/ERP familiarity (JDE).
Carry out modifications, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis on machines, equipment, and facility systems.
Promptly attend to equipment, machinery, and facility breakdowns, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions to ensure the timely restoration of normal plant operations.
Supervise technicians and contractors to optimize work performance and ensure maintenance activities are carried out effectively and in accordance with established standards.
Prepare and monitor defect reports, track corrective action plans, and submit timely progress updates.
Liaise with contractors and suppliers to source parts, materials, and services at competitive costs without compromising quality, safety, or reliability.
Plan, coordinate, and execute facility maintenance activities, including building, utilities, and infrastructure upkeep, to ensure a safe and conducive working environment.
Support automation and continuous improvement projects, and perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.
Troubleshoot machine breakdowns, execute preventive maintenance activities based on the maintenance management system (JDE), and maintain optimum inventory levels of critical spare parts.
Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of facility systems, including electrical, air-conditioning, compressed air, plumbing, firefighting, and other utility systems.
Promote teamwork by sharing skills, knowledge, and best practices among team members to improve overall department performance.
Able to work independently and respond effectively to maintenance emergencies.
Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facility Management, Building/Facility Maintenance, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in maintenance and facility management within a manufacturing environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills in machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
Experience in preventive maintenance, contractor supervision, and maintenance planning.
Familiarity with CMMS/ERP systems (e.g., JDE) is an added advantage.
Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Able to work independently and respond effectively to maintenance emergencies.
