Job summary

Sin Hock Leong Coach Works in Ipoh, Malaysia, seeks a Production Planner to develop and maintain production schedules and ensure timely material availability to meet demand with production, procurement, and logistics teams.

You will monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, implement corrective actions, and analyze data to drive efficiency and cost reduction, while collaborating with sales and engineering on requirements and delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Minimum 1 year of experience in production planning/scheduling in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet demand and optimize resource utilization.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Monitor production progress and identify bottlenecks or delays, implementing corrective actions.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering departments to understand product requirements and delivery timelines.
• Manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Prepare production reports for management review.
