Job summary

Sin Hock Leong Coach Works in Ipoh, Malaysia is seeking a Production Planner to develop and maintain production schedules and optimize resource use. You will coordinate with production, procurement and logistics to ensure timely material availability and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in a related field, 1+ year of production planning experience, and proficiency with planning software and ERP systems. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, engineering, or related field.
Minimum 1 year of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with production planning software and ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain production schedules to meet demand and optimize resource utilization.
Coordinate with production, procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.
Monitor production progress and identify bottlenecks or delays, implementing corrective actions.
Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction.
Collaborate with sales and engineering to understand product requirements and delivery timelines.
Manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
Prepare production reports for management review.
