Job summary

TDK-Lambda Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Planning Assistant Officer to join our Planning team. You will help develop and maintain production schedules, coordinate materials, and ensure smooth production workflows to meet customer delivery commitments.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor in Supply Chain/related field with 2 years' experience.
• STPM/SPM holder with 5 years related working experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication across departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing processes.

About the role

TDK-Lambda Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Planning Assistant Officer to join our Planning team at our Company. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring efficient and effective production workflows, contributing directly to the success of our manufacturing operations and helping us meet our customer delivery commitments.

Key responsibilities

Assist in the development and maintenance of production schedules and planning documents to ensure optimal resource utilisation.

Support the coordination of materials and components required for production, working closely with procurement and supply chain teams.

Liaise with production, quality, and logistics departments to identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or delays.

Maintain accurate records of production data, inventory levels, and scheduling information.

Assist with capacity planning and forecasting to support business growth and demand planning.

Support the implementation of production planning systems and tools.

Responsible for daily Production Control function.

Prepared monthly or daily production scheduling.

Monitor daily production progress and performance to ensure the plan schedule are being meet.

Coordinate production scheduling for pilot and proto run.

Production WIP control.

Shortage materials follow-up.

Practice and implement in accordance to the requirements of ISO9001 and ISO14001.

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related field with 2 years' experience or

STPM/SPM holder with 5 years related working experience.

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Basic knowledge of production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing processes.

Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.

Knowledge of MRP System will be additional advantage.

Preferred experience: Previous experience in production planning, inventory management, or a manufacturing setting would be advantageous

Ability to communicate effectively in English and Malay, both in verbally and written.

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
