Job summary

Amphenol TCS (M) Sdn Bhd in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, invites applications for a Planner role in our Production, Planning & Scheduling team. This full-time position focuses on ensuring a smooth flow of materials, resources and production schedules across manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years in production planning or related fields, with strong knowledge of inventory management, ERP/MRP experience, and excellent analytical skills to drive decisions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Economics/Business Administration or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of production planning principles, inventory management and supply chain logistics.
• Experience with ERP/MRP is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills to interpret data.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across departments.
• Attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, electronics or components industry is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Problem-solving mindset for practical operational solutions.

Responsibilities

About the role
Amphenol TCS (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Planner to join our Production, Planning & Scheduling team. This is a full-time position based in Bukit Mertajam, Penang. As a Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials, resources and production schedules throughout our manufacturing operations. This position is essential to maintaining our operational excellence and meeting customer demands whilst optimising production efficiency and inventory management.

Key responsibilities

Work with related departments for accurate resources / capacity planning and inventory control.

Follow through to ensure timely work order release and close.

To prepare weekly / monthly production schedule based on forecast demand.

Weekly / monthly inventory report update.

Ensure production run accordingly to the planning schedule.

Work closely with related departments on materials issues that impact production lines.

To handle other tasks and duties as and when requested by superior.

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience in production planning, scheduling or demand forecasting within a manufacturing environment

Strong knowledge of production planning principles, inventory management and supply chain logistics

Relevant experience with ERP/MRP will be added advantage.

Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across multiple departments

Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly in the electronics or components industry, is advantageous

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools

Problem-solving mindset with the ability to develop practical solutions to complex operational challenges
