Job summary

KATOLEC MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is seeking an experienced PPC Senior Planner to join our manufacturing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for production planning, scheduling, material coordination and delivery control to ensure production requirements are met according to customer demand. You will maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS), monitor progress, and coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Shipping, QA/QC and Customer Service to

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years in Production Planning, PPC or Material Planning.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience in EMS/Electronics/SMT/PCBA/assembly welcome.
• Knowledge of MPS, MRP, scheduling, capacity & inventory control.
• Excel and ERP/MRP systems proficiency.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Good communication and follow-up abilities.
• Ability to work independently under pressure.
• Fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Plan and control daily production based on orders, forecasts, inventory, material availability and capacity.
• Prepare and maintain Master Production Schedule (MPS) and detailed schedules.
• Monitor progress to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Shipping, QA/QC and Customer Service.
• Monitor material availability and follow up on shortages and long lead-time parts.
• Review capacity and manpower needs; adjust schedules as required.
• Monitor orders, forecasts, backlog and delivery risks.
• Control WIP, finished goods and inventory levels.
• Manage urgent orders, schedule changes and delays, including recovery planning.
• Prepare PPC, status, inventory and planning reports for management.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced PPC Senior Planner to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for production planning, scheduling, material coordination and delivery control to ensure production requirements are achieved according to customer demand.

Key responsibilities

Plan and control daily production activities based on customer orders, forecasts, inventory, material availability and production capacity.

Prepare, verify and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and detailed production schedules.

Monitor production progress and ensure production plans meet customer delivery requirements.

Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Shipping, QA/QC and Customer Service to resolve planning and delivery issues.

Monitor material availability and follow up on shortages, long lead-time parts and supply issues.

Review production capacity and manpower requirements and adjust schedules when necessary.

Monitor customer orders, forecasts, backlog and delivery schedules, and identify potential delivery risks.

Control WIP, finished goods and inventory levels according to customer requirements.

Manage urgent orders, schedule changes and production delays, including recovery planning.

Prepare PPC, production status, inventory and planning reports for management review.

About you

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Production Planning, PPC or Material Planning.

Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Experience in EMS, Electronics, SMT, PCBA or Assembly manufacturing will be an advantage.

Good knowledge of MPS, MRP, production scheduling, capacity planning, material planning and inventory control.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.

Good communication, coordination and follow-up skills.

Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
