Job summary

Flex in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Production / Material Planner to support Prai or Batu Kawan sites. You will plan, schedule and release materials and production, coordinating with purchasing and production to ensure feasible schedules.

The role includes long‑term planning (MPS/Forecast), monitoring KPI performance, stock levels, and driving improvements across order management and supply chain processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule production releases based on material and capacity availability.
• Prepare production plans and input planning data into the company ERP/integrated planning system.
• Monitor and adjust plans to address deviations and material/capacity constraints.
• Prepare long-term plans and forecasts (MPS, Forecast).
• Monitor system accuracy and data integrity (routing, BOM, CFT).
• Generate reports and monitor KPI performance related to planning and inventory.

Job description

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Production / Material Planner located in Prai or Batu Kawan, Penang.

In charge of helping materials and production functions. Plans, schedules, coordinates and approves product release to the production planning systems based on material and capacity availability.

What a typical day looks like:

• Checking the possibility of the order fulfillment based on the available resources (materials, employees, equipment, etc.), confirmation of the order.
• Preparation of production plans, input of planning data into the integrated computer system of the company, notification of the purchasing group
• Monitoring, control of implementation of plans, starting necessary actions in case of deviations
• Preparation of long term plans, forecasts (MPS, Forecast)
• Monitoring of system accuracy in daily/weekly bases /General Item data, routing, BOM, CFT data /Non-consumed demand, planned WO’s.
• Preparing of Clean to build reports, checking the material availability, replanning if necessary, informing of order desk, ECO implementation tracing.
• Monitoring of stock level, handling of stock differences
• Preparing management and CFT specified reports, monitoring of KPI’s /
• Giving assistance, replacement in certain cases to SCM and Order desk within the CFT.
• Advises non-exempt associates regarding day-to-day priority of customer requests.
• Monitors and proactively addresses issues that impact performance to committed ship date (CSD), lead-time, response time, and inventory goals.
• Coordinates and manages high-visibility and/or important customer programs. May include initial customer or product startup initiatives or large customer programs.
• Coordinates with Master Scheduler to manage product life cycle and related materials availability issues.
• Drives process improvements inside and outside the area of Order Management.
• Provides input to management, reschedules, and /or interfaces with customer program management, master scheduling, customers and production control to reschedule production in the event of design changes, labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.
• Represents Order Management on various Customer Focus Teams.
• May also help inventory control, supply chain management, material planning, and scheduling
