Job summary

Bittele Electronic Technology Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Planner & Customer Service to join the team in Penang. The role combines production scheduling with customer liaison to ensure timely deliveries and responsive service.

You will collaborate with multiple departments, monitor WIP, manage material readiness, and support engineering changes while driving improvements in capacity and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years in production planning or scheduling.
• Strong coordination and planning skills under pressure.
• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and ERP/MRP familiarity.
• Fluent Malay, English, and Mandarin for effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare schedules: daily, weekly, and monthly plans to meet demands and capacity.
• Coordinate activities with departments to ensure smooth production flow.
• Monitor WIP, identify delays, and take corrective actions to meet deadlines.
• Ensure material readiness by reviewing availability and highlighting shortages.
• Update planning data and loading plans in the system.
• Communicate changes to relevant departments and prioritise urgent requirements.
• Support engineering changes and product version updates in planning.
• Analyze capacity utilization and propose efficiency improvements.
• Generate planning reports and KPIs for management review.
• Propose process and customer service improvements.
• Assist in inventory control and cycle counts as needed.
• Adhere to ISO 13485 standards and participate in 5S/Kaizen initiatives.

What you'll be doing?

• Prepare schedules: Develop and update daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet customer demands and production capacity.
• Coordinate activities: Work closely with various departments to ensure smooth production flow and address any issues promptly.
• Monitor production: Track work-in-progress (WIP) status, identify delays, and take corrective actions to meet delivery deadlines.
• Ensure material readiness: Review material availability before production and highlight any shortages to prevent disruptions.
• Update planning data: Maintain accurate system planning data, including work orders and loading plans.
• Communicate changes: Inform relevant departments of production changes, priority updates, and urgent requirements.
• Support engineering changes: Assist in planning activities during engineering changes or product version updates.
• Analyze capacity: Evaluate capacity utilization and propose improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Generate reports: Prepare planning reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.
• Propose improvements: Recommend enhancements to the planning process and customer service procedures.
• Assist in inventory control: Participate in inventory control activities, such as cycle counts or stock verification, as needed.
• Adhere to standards: Ensure production planning and scheduling comply with ISO 13485 standards.
• Participate in improvement activities: Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and Kaizen.

Who are they looking for?

• Education: A Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related role.
• Skills: Strong coordination and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
• Technical proficiency: Basic understanding of production flow and manufacturing processes, with proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table preferred). Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
• Language proficiency: Proficiency in Malay, English, and Mandarin is essential for effective communication with team members and customers.
