Job summary

Depend Electronics in Penang, Malaysia is seeking an experienced Senior Sales professional to lead customer development and drive sales growth across the Malaysian market. You will develop new OEM/ODM/EMS/CEM accounts, manage key relationships, and close orders from inquiry to delivery.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in semiconductor or electronic components sales, strong negotiation and account-management skills, and is based in Penang or willing to relocate to support regional growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in semiconductor or electronic components sales.
• Proven ability to manage full B2B sales cycle including lead generation to order closure.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Penang, Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Develop and acquire new OEM/ODM/EMS/CEM and electronic manufacturing customers across Malaysia.
• Identify and develop business opportunities within the semiconductor and electronic components industry.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with purchasing, sourcing, procurement, engineering, and supply chain teams.
• Promote and sell semiconductors, ICs, electronic components, shortage parts, obsolete components, excess inventory, and hard-to-find components.
• Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, customer development, RFQ/inquiry handling, quotation, negotiation, order management, delivery follow-up, and payment collection.
• Develop and manage key accounts to generate repeat business and long-term customer relationships.
• Understand customer requirements and work with internal sourcing/procurement teams to identify suitable component supply solutions.
• Monitor market trends, customer demand, component availability, and competitive activities in the Malaysian market.
• Achieve agreed sales, revenue, gross profit, and business development targets.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts and business updates.
• Travel within Malaysia when required to meet customers and develop new business.
