Job summary

Flex is seeking a Debug Engineer in Prai, Penang, Malaysia. The role focuses on PCBA debug, validation, and failure analysis, requiring hands-on testing and root-cause investigations to improve product quality.

You will work with engineering teams to resolve test issues and optimize test methods. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least five years of PCBA debugging experience, with FPGA/BGA familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in PCBA debug, validation or failure analysis.
• Experience diagnosing PCBA issues with FPGA and BGA techniques.
• Hands-on testing and data interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand test conditions and sequence of operations.
• Prepare technical summaries for engineering and management.
• Interface with engineering to resolve testing issues.
• Use hardware/software to test electronic products and systems.
• Investigate defects, identify root causes and coordinate corrective actions.
• Collaborate with floor staff on test hardware/software.
• Evaluate and configure FPGA and BGA circuits.
• Analyze test data and assess product performance.
