Job summary

Flex seeks a Senior Debug Engineer in Prai, Penang, to support our production engineering teams. You will diagnose test issues, configure FPGA/BGA circuits, and prepare technical reports to guide engineering decisions.

You will collaborate with engineering, quality, and purchasing to drive root-cause actions, improve yield, and ensure robust test processes across electronics and software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in related functions.
• Experience in debugging and test methods for electronic products.

Responsibilities

• Understand test conditions, sequences and phases.
• Prepare technical summary reports for engineering and management.
• Interface with engineering to resolve testing problems and data issues.
• Use computer hardware/software to conduct tests on electronics or software.
• Assign defect causes and prepare reports for Quality, Purchasing, SQA.
• Coordinate with floor staff and test operators on test hardware/software.
• Investigate root causes to resolve test yield problems and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate and configure digital circuits using FPGA and BGA.
• Interpret test data with evidence of Failure Analysis.
