HID Global is seeking an experienced Payroll Lead, India & APAC, to manage end-to-end India payroll, support the regional shared services model, and drive the ADP-to-BIPO transition. This role may also back up the APAC Payroll Manager in supporting other APAC countries.

The ideal candidate has deep India payroll expertise, strong statutory compliance knowledge, payroll accounting capability, and experience delivering payroll transformations in multinational settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years’ payroll experience, including significant hands-on India payroll responsibility.
• At least 3 years in a lead, supervisory, or management role.
• Proven end-to-end India payroll experience in a multinational environment.
• Experience with payroll implementations, migrations, transformations, or insourcing/outsourcing projects; ADP-to-house transition desirable.
• Explicit experience building or insourcing an in-house payroll function.
• Strong payroll accounting, reconciliations, month-end, controls, and shared services experience.
• Exposure to international payroll operations or a regional/shared services payroll environment is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end India payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Act as India payroll SME for legislation, compliance, governance and payroll matters.
• Review inputs, calculations, reconciliations, salary disbursements and statutory payments.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Tax, vendors and stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain audit trails.
• Provide escalation support for payroll queries with clear communication and documentation.
• Lead ADP-to-BIPO transition including design, testing, data validation, UAT and cutover.
• Collaborate with BIPO, HR, Finance, IT and vendors for implementation and operating model.
• Document procedures, workflows, controls and opportunities for automation and standardization.
• Build in-house India payroll capability with governance and knowledge transfer.
• Ensure payroll operations comply with Indian labour laws, tax regulations, and statutory updates.
• Monitor regulatory changes impacting payroll and assess impact on compensation and deductions.
• Own payroll reconciliations, month-end accounting, accruals, journals and reporting.
