Job summary

Confidential in Malaysia is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage monthly payroll processing, ensure compliance with tax and employment regulations, and maintain accurate payroll records. You will coordinate with HR and Finance on changes, inquiries, and audits.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a related field and strong Excel/payroll software skills to ensure timely and accurate payments.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in payroll processing or administration.
• Good knowledge of payroll procedures and statutory requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll/accounting systems.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll accurately and within established deadlines.
• Maintain and update employee payroll records including salaries, allowances, deductions, overtime, and leave.
• Calculate statutory contributions, taxes, deductions, bonuses, and other payroll adjustments.
• Ensure payroll processing complies with employment, tax, and statutory requirements.
• Prepare and submit statutory payroll-related reports and payments to authorities.
• Reconcile payroll data and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare payroll reports and payroll-related financial information for management.
• Respond to employee questions regarding salaries, deductions, benefits, and other payroll matters.
• Maintain confidential payroll documentation and records.
• Coordinate with HR and Finance on movements, salary changes, new hires, resignations, and other adjustments.
• Assist with payroll audits and provide supporting documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Perform other payroll and administrative duties as assigned.
